building reliable connectivity
The Transjabodetabek S61 route, connecting Alam Sutera and Blok M, has now been operational for one year. This route, which serves as a backbone for mobility for residents of the Jakarta suburbs, has seen continued passenger growth since its launch.

Transjakarta's Director of Business and Asset Utilization, Fadly Hasan, said that inter-regional integration is the key to future transportation.
According to him, the success of the S61 route over the past year is evidence that the mobility of the Jabodetabek community is very dynamic.
"We no longer see borders as barriers, but rather as opportunities to continue building reliable connectivity for all," he said, Monday (4/27).
Transjakarta continues to record positive growth in serving its passengers. By early 2026, Transjakarta's passenger volume reached 1.4 million trips per day. Meanwhile, Transjakarta services had reached 92.4 percent of Jakarta as of February 2026.
"Transjakarta's total number of customers reached 413 million people by 2025, doubling compared to 2022," he added.
As part of its long-term strategy towards a low-emission city, Transjakarta inaugurated the addition of 30 new electric buses in 2026.
"The addition of this electric bus unit coincides with National Public Transportation Day, bringing the total fleet of electric buses in operation to 500 units," he continued.
This effort is part of the Jakarta Provincial Government's ambitious roadmap to achieving its fleet electrification target. The 2027 target is 50 percent of the total fleet to be electric. The 2030 target is 100 percent electrification, or up to 10,047 vehicles across the entire fleet (Net Zero Emission).
"Transjakarta encourages everyone to continue using public transportation as their primary choice for daily mobility. A developed city begins with a good transportation system and a community that actively utilizes it," he emphasized.
